The road that links the Liberty Bridge to Grandview Avenue on Mt. Washington will be closed for two weeks in June for bridge work, Pittsburgh officials said.
McArdle Roadway is set to close June 7 and reopen June 20 to allow for the routine work, which is being done by the city’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure.
The work, which will cost about $192,000, will be focused on the deck joints at either end of the bridge on Sycamore Street. It will also allow for the steel plate that has been on the road to be removed. This project has a budgeted cost of $192,500.
Detours will be posted and traffic will be using the Liberty Tunnel, Saw Mill Run Boulevard, Woodruff Street, and Merrimac Street.
