Think you’ve conquered the mechanical bull? Try taking a ride on a bucking, brined cucumber.
A new attraction is coming to the 10th anniversary of Picklesburgh this month where people can put their riding skills to the test in pickle riding.
Similar to a mechanical bull, the ride is a giant fake pickle that moves and tries to throw off the rider.
“This jarring twist on the classic mechanical bull is a test of dill-termination and skill,” the ride description says on the Picklesburgh website. “Climb aboard the giant gherkin and try to hang on as it bucks, spins and wiggles with unpredictable pickle power.”
A ride on the mechanical pickle costs $12, and it will be located on Fourth Avenue by PPG Place. Tickets can be purchased onsite, and no reservations are needed.
Only people 18 years and older can ride the mechanical pickle. Riders need to sign a waiver when purchasing a ticket.
Presented by Pella Windows & Doors, the mechanical pickle will operate during festival hours.
Picklesburgh runs from noon until 10 p.m. on July 11, July 12, and from noon until 6 p.m. on July 13.
