Shoppers pace near the 17th Street “Passageway” in The Terminal commercial development on Smallman Street in Pittsburgh’s Strip District neighborhood on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

“Yappy Hour” is coming to the Strip District Terminal this week — to celebrate local Pittsburgh pups during National Dog Month.

Dog lovers will get the chance to meet adoptable dogs in need of homes through One by One Rescue at the event.

Running from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Yappy Hour will be a one-night only twist on the Terminal’s weekly Tunes at The Terminal live music event.

There will be local artisans and makers selling pet-friendly items at Yappy Hour, according to the Tuesday announcement, including Salty Paws, Scratch & Bone Treat Co. and WickyWags Candles.

Live music will be performed by indie folk duo The Evergreens.

And for those who want some refreshments, wine samples and pup cups from City Winery and PetVet365 will be available.
