6 candidates will challenge for 4 spots on the Gateway School Board in November
Six candidates will face off for four available seats on Gateway School District’s school board in the fall.
According to unofficial results from the Allegheny County Office of Elections, all six nominees received enough votes in the May 18 primary election to secure a spot on the November ballot.
Leslie McBride and James Lomeo were the only cross-filed nominees to secure spots in the top four on both the Democratic and Republican tickets.
McBride received 1,480 votes on the Democratic ticket and 810 on the Republican ticket. Lomeo received 1,743 votes on the Democratic ticket and 764 on the Republican ticket.
On the Democratic ticket, incumbent Robin Mungo received 2,102 votes and Mandal K. Singh received 1,160 votes to join Lomeo and McBride on the November ballot.
On the Republican ticket, Gary DeLorenzo received 988 votes and incumbent Scott Williams received 627 votes to earn spots on the November ballot.
Voters will choose four candidates in November.
