Assault, firearms cases recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville – Aug. 7, 2019

Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Neko Haas, 19, of McKeesport on charges of possession of firearm with altered manufacturer number, receiving stolen property, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession with intent to deliver, person not to posses firearms, possession of controlled substances and driving with a suspended license. Charges were filed July 17.

• Devontae Hammonds, 24, of Pitcairn with two counts of possession of controlled substances and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. Charges were filed April 3.

• Jason Woodall, 45, of Monroeville on charges of forgery and theft by deception. Charges were filed Nov. 18.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Jennifer Edwards, 48, of Pittsburgh on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. Charges were filed May 23.
