Drug, simple assault cases among those recently handled in Judge Jeffrey Herbst's Monroeville court
Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.
Held for court
• Darnell Malik Bennett, 23, of East Pittsburgh on charges of selling a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Charges were filed June 11.
• Rayman Tyson, 34, of Pitcairn on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance with intent to deliver, tampering with evidence, obstructing the administering of law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and not having properly functioning tail lights on his vehicle. Charges were filed Aug. 15.
• Jared Abraham Ogrosky, 22, of McKeesport on charges of intent to cause a riot, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed May 16.
Waived for court
• Phillip D. Leffew, 39, of Belle Vernon on charges of driving while under a suspended or revoked license, failure to keep right, reckless driving, three counts of failing to stop to give aid, two counts of causing a crash that involved death or injury, three counts of causing a crash that involved damage to an attended vehicle and a DUI. Charges were filed March 1.
• Brian Lee Seth Clow Jr., 20, of North Versailles on charges of escape, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of drugs with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marjuana. Charges were filed June 23.
