Drug, theft cases recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville - Jan. 13, 2020
Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.
Held for court
• Narue Finn, 43, of Braddock on charges of simple assault, possession of marijuana and driving under the influence. Charges were filed Oct. 30.
• Nicholas Norris, 27, of Pitcairn on charges of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pitcairn police filed the charges Dec. 26.
• Julius Carrington, 44, of Pitcairn on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pitcairn police filed the charges.
Waived preliminary hearings
• John Creighton, 51, of Monroeville on charges of fleeing or attempted to elude officer, resisting arrest, driving under the influence, accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property, failure to keep right, driving on sidewalk, reckless driving and two counts of recklessly endangering another person. Charges were filed Oct. 26.
• James Scialabba, 31, of Plum on charges of retail theft. Charges were filed Nov. 16.
• Jazma Mason, 32, of Monroeville on charges of access devices used to obtain property/services and possession of counterfeit access device. Charges were filed Dec. 4.
