DUI, theft cases recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville - Feb. 7, 2019

Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

  • John Smith, 50, of Penn Hills on two counts of corruption of minors and three counts of retail theft. Charges were filed Dec. 9.
  • Eddie Gaines, 40, of Monroeville on two counts of open lewdness, two counts of indecent exposure and four counts of loitering and prowling at night. Charges were filed Dec. 17.

Gaines went before the judge on another case. Charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness were held for court. Those charges were filed Dec. 28.

  • Paul Cecchini, 40, of Monroeville on charges of endangering the welfare of children, resisting arrest and flight to avoid apprehension. Charges were filed Aug. 12.

Waived preliminary hearings

  • Nychell Jones, 19, of Pitcairn on charges of resisting arrest and escape. Allegheny County police filed the charges Jan. 9.
  • Gary Dadamo, 41, of Monroeville on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving. Charges were filed Nov. 15.
