Firearms, harassment, drug charges among those recently filed by Monroeville police

Monroeville police filed the following charges Dec. 21, 30 and Jan.5 with District Judge Jeffrey L. Herbst:

• Elvin Anthony Lawson, 32, of Plum with unlawful sale or transfer of firearms and making unsworn falsification to authorities. The charges were filed Dec. 21 in connection to an incident along the 3700 block of William Penn Highway.

• Anthony White, 23, of Monroeville with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. The charges were filed Dec. 30 in connection to an incident along the 100 block of Cambridge Square Drive.

• Antanay Smitherman, 21, of Monroeville with simple assault. The charge was filed Jan. 5 in connection to an incident along the 200 block of Cambridge Square Drive.

• Hildred Devon Berkley, 27, of Monroeville with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving a vehicle with a load that hadn’t been properly secured, careless driving and a DUI. The charges were filed Jan. 5 in connection to an incident along the 2600 block of Pitcairn Road.

• Carol Ann Ross, 52, of McKeesport with retail theft. The charge was filed Jan. 5 in connection with an incident along the 300 block of Mall Circle Drive.

• Shakira Shaunal Brown, 28, of Pittsburgh with making an unsworn falsification to authorities. The charge was filed Jan. 5 in connection with an incident along the 500 block of Mall Circle Drive.
