Play with LEGOs

The Brick Fest Live LEGO Fan Experience returns Oct. 7 and 8 to the Monroeville Convention Center, 209 Mall Plaza Blvd. Doors open at 9 a.m. Oct. 7 and 10 a.m. Oct. 8.

Participants can build and race their custom-built LEGO derby car down 35-foot-long timed tracks. Other activities include life-sized models, hands-on attractions, video games, miniature golf, mosaic creation and LEGO trivia.

Tickets range between $17 and $38. Children ages 2 and younger get in free.

Divine Mercy craft show

A fall craft and vendor show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7 at Divine Mercy Academy, 245 Azalea Drive, Monroeville.

More than 100 vendors on two floors will be featured, along with delicious homemade food and more.

Legion hosts flea market

American Legion Post 820 in Monroeville will host a flea market from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 14 in the parking lot of the post, 4339 Old William Penn Highway.

Featured will be upscale handbags, various household items from vintage to new, jewelry and more. The event is rain or shine.

Gun show set

Monroeville Convention Center hosts the Showmasters gun show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 15.

This show will feature many exhibitors with more than 600 tables. Tickets are $12. Children younger than 12 get in free. Free parking will be available.

Youth ice hockey

Gateway Ice Hockey Club is looking for youth ice hockey players in kindergarten through sixth grade to join the developmental program, starting at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 15 at Palmer Imaging Arena in Delmont.

No prior playing or skating experience is necessary and loaner starter equipment can be provided. If interested, email gatewaydevohockey@gmail.com. Players outside of Gateway are welcome, as well.

Food pantry distributions

The Garden City Food Pantry distributes food on the second Thursday of each month, with morning distribution from 9 to 11 and evening distribution from 6 to 7.

Upcoming distributions are Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14 at 500 Laurel Drive, Monroeville.
