Monroeville area happenings, week of March 27, 2023
Winning ticket sold
A Monroeville convenience store is getting a $10,000 bonus after Pennsylvania Lottery officials said it sold a scratch-off ticket that won $3 million.
The winning ticket, sold at the Mosside Boulevard Sheetz, was the top prize in a $30 Snow Bank game. The person with the winning ticket claimed the prize, according to lottery officials.
Scratch-off tickets are distributed to retailers randomly, which means lottery officials and the stores don’t know where the winning tickets land. Players won millions of dollars in scratch-off tickets last month statewide, according to data from the Pennsylvania Lottery. That includes 684 people in Allegheny County.
