The sixth annual Monroeville Public Library Fun Fest was held Aug. 24 with community and vendor booths, food, games and music.

Activities included balloon artists, hair tinsel station, bounce house and inflatable obstacle course, basket raffle, a magician and ceramic animal painting.

Country Flair Farm was on site with a petting zoo. And Bluey, from the popular animated series of the same name, also made appearances.

Gateway High School Robotics Club, Monroeville Historical Society, Community College of Allegheny County, Monroeville Music, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Monroeville Recreation Parks — among several others — had information booths and games or prizes for children.

“Excitement has been building in our community as we eagerly awaited this year’s Fun Fest,” said Alice Rathjen, head of public relations for Monroeville Public Library. “At last year’s Fun Fest, both children and adults expressed how they could not wait for this year’s event because they had so much fun that they didn’t want to leave.”
