CELEBRATING CATHOLIC EDUCATION Celebrating Catholic Schools week, Jan. 27 - Feb. 2, students at Divine Mercy Academy in Monroeville had the unique opportunity to tape their principal to the wall. The event, sponsored by the Parent Teacher Group, was part of the week-long activities celebrating this year’s theme, “Catholic Schools. Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed”. Students were able to buy strips of duct tape and tape Principal Sean Davis to the wall at the end of the day on Feb. 5. This is the first year for the Our Divine Academy (formerly St. Bernadette’s School and North America Martyr’s School) following the combining of the two schools under the reorganization last year. Above, Roman Maurizio, third grade, Dylan Bentley, eighth grade, and Jovie Johnson, fifth grade, play tug of war with the ball of tape after freeing Principal Davis.
