Multiple construction projects will kick off Monday in Monroeville, PennDOT officials said.

• Drilling operations along Mosside Boulevard (Route 48) will begin between Gateway Campus Boulevard and Route 130. The work is expected to continue through July 28.

• Old William Penn Highway between Evergreen Drive and Duff Road will close starting at 9 p.m. Monday until noon Tuesday, as crews work on replacing the deck on the Parkway East bridge that runs over the road.

East of the closure, drivers will detour from Old William Penn Highway onto Garden City Drive, turning left onto Laurel Drive and following it back down to Old William Penn. Westbound drivers will follow it in the opposite direction.

• Single-lane restrictions will take place on the bridge carrying William Penn Highway over Thompson Run Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 21-23. The bridge is being inspected. The lane restrictions will run between Kingstone Drive and MBDB Service Drive.
