Evergreen Elementary students learned to be safe both at home and at school during an Officer Phil assembly on Feb. 5.

Mac the Mouse and Al E Cat joined Gwen Bowman, Officer Phil program representative, to talk about how to Be Safe and Be Aware.

The Officer Phil Program has been presenting child safety assemblies to elementary schools since 1975.

It incorporates magic, games and ventriloquism to talk about stranger danger, bullying, internet safety and respect of authority.
