West Mifflin man killed Thursday in 2-car Monroeville crash

A West Mifflin man was killed in a two-car crash Thursday in Monroeville, officials said.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as James Adams, 77. He was pronounced dead just after 9 a.m. Thursday. about 45 minutes after the crash occurred at the intersection of Mosside Boulevard and Hillside Avenue.

The other driver wasn’t injured, according to police.

An Allegheny County Police collision reconstruction team responded to the scene, and homicide detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
