Shooting injures 3 in Perry South
Three people sustained gunshot wounds Monday night near East McIntyre Street in Pittsburgh’s Perry South neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
Pittsburgh police were alerted to three ShotSpotter notifications just before 10:30 p.m. Three men were injured. One was found on Osgood Street and a second was found along Lyzell Street shortly after, both with gunshot wounds to the back, Public Safety said. They were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
A third man, with a gunshot wound in the leg, took himself to the hospital. He arrived in stable condition, according to Public Safety.
Pittsburgh detectives, who located multiple shell casings and two vehicles struck by gunfire, are investigating.
2 women injured in Homestead shooting
A shooting Monday evening in Homestead Borough left two women with gunshot wounds, according to Allegheny County Police.
Police were dispatched around 10:09 p.m. to the 1200 block of Hays Street for shots fired. Officers found one woman who was struck twice in the leg and a second who was grazed in the shoulder, according to county police.
The first woman was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition, county police said. The second was not taken to a hospital.
Shell casings were recovered from the scene. County detectives are investigating.
