Wanted man arrested following SWAT situation in Hill District
A Pittsburgh man was arrested Sunday following a SWAT situation in the Hill District.
At 4 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of Kirkpatrick Street to serve a Protection From Abuse order on Maurice Lindsey, 38. Lindsey had other active warrants for his arrest, said Emily Bourne, a city public safety spokeswoman.
Lindsey barricaded himself on the second floor of the house, Bourne said.
He was taken into custody at 6:17 p.m.
Woman grazed by bullet in Perry South
A woman was taken to the hospital Sunday morning after she was grazed by a bullet in the Perry South neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
Public Safety Spokeswoman Emily Bourne said officers were patrolling the area of Perrysville Avenue and North Charles Street at 4:45 a.m. when they heard shots fired.
Officers found a woman in the 2600 block of Perrysville with a grazing gunshot wound, Bourne said. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate.
