Police make arrest for South Side bank robbery
Police announced an arrest Thursday in a bank robbery that happened last weekend on the South Side.
Police arrested 63-year-old Arthur Lee Williams of Coalport, Clearfield County. He is facing charges of robbery, theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy.
The robbery happened at the First National Bank in the 1100 block of East Carson Street just after 10 a.m. March 16. Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said Williams wore a red bandana and demanded $50 and $100 bills, threatening that he had a gun.
Williams is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
Picklesburgh adding another day to schedule
The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is giving dill lovers more of what they crave.
Picklesburgh, the city’s annual festival devoted to pickles of all shapes, sizes and forms, is adding an extra day to its 2024 celebration. The festival will now run four days — July 18-21 — along the Boulevard of the Allies in Downtown.

A 4th day has been added to Picklesburgh, extending its run from Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21!

Live music, pickle-themed merchandise, a pickle juice drinking contest and more are part of the free event.
Last year’s event drew more than 200,000 people according to the Downtown Partnership.

Police say missing Sheraden boy found safe
Pittsburgh police said a missing Sheraden boy was found safe Tuesday morning.
Komanuel Carmichael, 13, of Sheraden was missing for three days after being last seen at 11 a.m. Saturday.
