Bridge beam delivery to delay Parkway East traffic
Traffic on the Parkway East will be shut down for around 15 minutes westbound Thursday morning for a bridge beam delivery, according to the PennDOT.
Two large trucks will travel outbound on the highway formally known as Interstate 376 and pull in the plaza outside the suburban side of Squirrel Hill Tunnel. At about 9 a.m. Thursday, westbound I-376 will have a stoppage of around 15 minutes near the entrance of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel to allow the trucks to cross the lanes into the work area.
The beam is being delivered for the I-376 Commercial Street Bridge replacement project.
Lottery ticket worth over $4M sold in Allegheny County
The person who bought a lucky Match 6 Lotto ticket at CoGo’s on West Run Road in West Homestead is about to be a lot richer.
The winning ticket, which matched all six numbers in the Tuesday drawing, hit the jackpot for $4.45 million, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.
Lottery officials said the store that sold the ticket will get a $10,000 bonus.
The holder of the winning ticket has one year to claim the prize of $4.45 million.
Latest South Side patrol stats
On East Carson Street, the South Side Entertainment Patrol officers are continuing with “focused efforts” to ensure the community’s safety, Pittsburgh police said.
The group released the latest arrest and citation numbers for Sept. 3-7:
