Roundup: Flood watch issued for Southwestern Pa.; shootings in Homewood North

Flood watch for Southwestern Pa.
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a flood watch for Allegheny, Westmoreland, Washington, Greene and Fayette counties as more strong storms begin to move through the area Wednesday.
TribLive news partner WTAE is forecasting a 50% chance of rain early in the day and increasing to 89% by Wednesday evening.
The NWS advisory includes the higher elevations in Westmoreland, along with Greensburg, Murrysville, Washington, Ohiopyle, Donegal, Uniontown and Canonsburg.
Periods of heavy rain could result in localized flooding, NWS officials said.

Shootings in Homewood North
Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting early Wednesday morning in the city’s Homewood North neighborhood.
First responders were called around 12:15 a.m. to the area of Paulson and Frankstown avenues and Race Street following multiple ShotSpotter activations. En route, officers received a report of a shooting victim on the 7100 block of Frankstown.
They arrived to find an adult male with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken by Pittsburgh EMS to a local hospital in stable condition.
A short time later, a second adult male arrived at UPMC Shadyside Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound in his harm. Police said he was also last listed in stable condition.
Witnesses gave police a description of a suspect and possible suspect vehicle.
Police are investigating.
