Forest Hills school van crash sends driver to hospital
A school van driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation following a crash Monday afternoon in Forest Hills.
The van collided with another vehicle at Filmore Road and Ardmore Boulevard. Both vehicles appeared to have heavy damage, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.
Woodland Hills School District said three students who attend local Trinity Christian School were on board at the time.
No injuries were reported among the passengers, but one of the students may have gone to a local hospital to be checked as a precaution, according to WTAE.
Additional details weren’t available.
The district uses the services of several companies to transport students who live in the district to private and charter schools.
Pittsburgh pools to open in mid-June
Pittsburgh’s outdoor city pools are set to open for the season June 16, city officials announced.
Pool locations that are set to welcome swimmers include Ammon, Banksville, Bloomfield, Highland, Jack Stack, Magee, McBride, Moore, Ormsby, Phillips, Ream, Riverview, Schenley, Sue Murray, West Penn and Westwood.
Homewood and Sheraden pools will remain closed for continuing renovations.
