Police say McKeesport woman tried to bring knife into Family Law Center
Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus said a McKeesport woman attempted to bring a knife into the Family Law Center — leading to her arrest.
Theresa Correll, 41, was attempting to pass through security inside the 5th Avenue entrance Monday morning when security noticed a knife inside her purse while it was on the X-Ray belt, according to Kraus’ report released Monday.
She was then pulled aside for questioning by the deputy sheriff on duty, Kraus said.
Correll also has an active warrant out of West Mifflin for one count of forged or altered documents, as well as several summary offenses.
She was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail for arraignment on the West Mifflin warrant and one charge: possession of a firearm or another weapon in a court facility, according to Kraus.

The Allegheny County Police Department said in a post on Facebook that it is continuing to ask for the community’s assistance in locating Wallace.
Wallace is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and illegal possession of a firearm.
Police said he’s known to frequent the Mon Valley area. He is approximately 5-foot-8 tall and 140 pounds.
If seen, people should not approach him — and instead call 911, as he is “potentially armed and dangerous, according to police.
Anyone with information on Wallace’s whereabouts should call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-255-8477 (ALL-TIPS). Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
