Western Pa. men arrested in Ohio human trafficking sting
Three Pittsburgh area men were among eight people arrested in Ohio for attempting to buy sex, according to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.
John Denk, 45, of Allison Park and Coraopolis natives Kenneth D. Anderson, 29, and Richard Matve, 65, were arrested and charged with engaging in prostitution, Yost said in a statement.
The arrests came from a joint sting operation conducted Tuesday and Wednesday by Ohio’s Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and Steubenville Police Department.
Three Ohio men and two from West Virginia were also arrested — one of whom is accused of seeking to have sex with a minor.
Terrace Village stabbing injures teen girl
A 15-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times Thursday night in Pittsburgh’s Terrace Village neighborhood, according to a report from Pittsburgh Public Safety.
Police were dispatched around 8:15 p.m. to the 200 block of Oak Hill Drive. Nearby, in the 100 block of Burrows Street, the girl was found with multiple stab wounds to the back and arms.
She was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The Pittsburgh police violent crime unit is investigating.
