Police investigate Lawrenceville stabbing

Pittsburgh police have one suspect in custody after a stabbing Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the 100 block of 54th Street in Upper Lawrenceville for reports of a stabbing around 8:30 a.m.

First responders found a man with stab wounds to his ribs and hand following an altercation with a co-worker. He was conscious when talking to officers.

Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition. A woman is in custody while police continue their investigation.

Homewood shooting victim expected to recover

Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was shot Sunday morning in Homewood.

Officers responded about 11 a.m. to Tioga Street, close to Alex’s Pit Stop. First responders found a man sitting on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his hand and abdomen.

He was conscious and able to communicate. He was taken to the hospital for surgery, where he is expected to recover.

Man dead in Washington County crash

A 52-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Washington County.

The wreck happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 22 in Robinson Township.

The Washington County coroner, Timothy Warco, said Martin Cowden of Midway lost control of his motorcycle and hit a guiderail. He was wearing a helmet at the time.

State police are investigating the crash.
