Woman, child injured in rollover on Parkway West

Green Tree Volunteer Fire Company responded Thursday afternoon to reports of a vehicle rollover crash and entrapment on the Parkway West.

First responders found a vehicle that landed on its roof with a female driver and child inside. Both victims were able to get out of the SUV on their own and were transported to local hospitals.

East Carnegie and Scott Township Station #256 fire departments assisted.


Man shot in Larimer

A man was injured in a shooting Friday morning in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Larimer, according to Public Safety spokesperson Cara Cruz.

Police responded around 2 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the 6300 block of Dean Street, Cruz said.

A 35-year-old man was found on the first floor of a residence with a gunshot wound to the neck, police said. He was not identified.

He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Three other occupants of the home, including two children, were reported unharmed.

An eyewitness described to police a possible suspect, someone fleeing the scene on foot with a backpack.

The investigation is ongoing.
