Motorcycle driver dies in Unity crash

A man driving a motorcycle died in a single-vehicle crash in Unity on Saturday afternoon.

The crash in the area of 240 St. Vincent Drive, near Saint Vincent College, was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m., according to a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher.

The person who reported the crash saw it happen, the dispatcher said.

The man on the motorcycle died at the scene, according to the dispatcher. He was not immediately identified.

No other people or vehicles were involved.

The coroner was at the scene as of 6:30 p.m.

State police out of Greensburg are investigating.
