A portion of Mt. Troy Road in Reserve has reopened after a two-month closure.

The street was shut down in late December between Fornof Lane and Lonsdale Street for construction of a retaining wall and a rock embankment.

The project cost was $689,388.

The accompanying Port Authority bus route detour also has ended, Allegheny County officials said. The 4-Troy Hill route was rerouted, and 37 stops on the route were temporarily discontinued.

They were reinstated March 9 and include stops at Geyer Road, Highland Avenue and Fornof Lane, among many others.

Riders can also call Port Authority customer service at 412-442-2000.

The project, which was completed by Carmen Paliotta Contracting of South Park, also included construction of a support wall along the 3200 block of Mt. Troy Road.

The 2800 and 3200 blocks of Mt. Troy Road will be milled and paved later in March or April.

Work will require short stoppages, and flaggers will be used to control traffic.
