Scouts march in the 2023 Export Memorial Day Parade carrying a 16-by-8-foot U.S. flag which flew over the USS Sanctuary hospital ship during the Vietnam War. It was donated by Ken Koncerak, the nephew of Lt. Cmdr. Charles Crans, who served as a surgeon aboard the ship.

Scouts marching in Export’s 2023 Memorial Day Parade carried with them an American flag which once flew over the USS sanctuary, a hospital ship deployed during the Vietnam War.
