As part of the Franklin Regional transition program for community preschoolers, district officials held an outdoor StoryWalk, featuring the beloved storybook character, Pete the Cat.
The event was held on three evenings at the newly renovated Franklin Regional Primary School, the former Sloan Elementary, to accommodate all registered students and their family members in a socially-distanced fashion.
Kindergarten teachers welcomed students, distributed FR backpacks, hosted the StoryWalk for small groups of students, distributed treats and posed for photos.
The district will share additional meet-and-greet event announcements with district parents in the coming weeks. For more, see FRSDk12.org.
