Upcoming public meetings

• Franklin Township Municipal Sanitary Authority board, 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at the authority offices, 3001 Meadowbrook Road in Murrysville. For more, see FTMSA.org.

• Export council, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at the borough building, 5821 Washington Avenue. An agenda is available in advance at ExportPennsylvania.com.

• Murrysville council, 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at the municipal building, 4100 Sardis Road. Meetings are broadcast live on Comcast local access Channel 21, and streamed live at Murrysville.com — enter “Channel 21” in the search box.

Blood drive

Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church in Murrysville will host a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross.

It will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 26 at the church, 4600 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville.

Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 800-733-2767 or visiting RedCrossBlood.org — enter ZIP cod 15668 and select “Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church” to reserve a time.

Red Cross officials said blood supplies are often critically low during summer months.

Regional AMVETS meeting in Murrysville

The AMVETS Western Region meeting set for noon on Aug. 17 will take place at the White Valley AMVETS.

The AMVETS is at 2100 Carolina St.

Chevy car show

Jim Shorkey Chevrolet in Murrysville will host the fifth annual All Chevy Car Show on Aug. 23.

It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the dealership, 6730 William Penn Highway in Murrysville. Register a vehicle to display by Aug. 16 at Bit.ly/3IaiyfG.

Proceeds will benefit the Rhodes Cancer Foundation.

Farmers market

The Murrysville Farmers Market is open weekly through the end of summer. It will take place from 3-7 p.m. Thursday evenings outside the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company at 3235 Sardis Road.

Blood drives

Murrysville recreation officials will partner with the American Red Cross to host blood drives on Sept. 11 and Nov. 11. Drives will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Murrysville Community Center, 3091 Carson Ave.
