Export summer festival
The annual Export Ethnic Food & Music Festival will be from 12-9 p.m. Aug. 16 along Washington Avenue.
Borough officials announced that there will be no parking on Washington Avenue after 11 a.m. on Aug. 15, through Sunday morning, Aug. 17.
There will be no through traffic on Lincoln Avenue between Tyler Avenue and Gale Court, starting Aug. 15 through 8 a.m. Aug. 17. In addition, there will be no parking on Gale Court from 8 a.m. Aug. 15 through 8 a.m. Aug. 17.
There will be no parking in the download lot adjacent to Washington Avenue starting at 6 a.m. Saturday. The lot is reserved for festival vendor parking.
Access to Madison and Lincoln avenues on Aug. 16 will be via the downtown parking lot, and then up Polk Street or McKinley Avenue from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 16.
Finally, Brick Hill Road will be closed at the entrance to District Court 10-3-02 starting at 9 a.m. Aug. 16.
Paving program
The municipal paving program will continue over the next few weeks on the following roads: Carousel Drive, Koval Court, Henry Hudson Drive, Surrey Drive, Carolina Street, Pennsylvania Street, Virginia Street, Berlin Farm Road and Wilson Road.
Delays are likely on the more heavily-traveled roads, Murrysville officials said.
Regional AMVETS meeting in Murrysville
The AMVETS Western Region meeting set for noon on Aug. 17 will take place at the White Valley AMVETS.
The AMVETS is at 2100 Carolina Street.

Murrysville Concert in the Park
The annual Murrysville Concert in the Park will take place from 4 p.m. to dusk Aug. 9 at Murrysville Community Park.
This year’s lineup features Landline Bluegrass at 5:15 p.m., Louis Castle & Unleashed at 6:30 p.m., and the Nied’s Hotel Band at 8 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public, and the afternoon will include food vendors, games and fireworks at dusk.
The park is at 4056 Wiestertown Road in Murrysville.

Library end-of-summer party
The Delmont Public Library will host its End of Summer Celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 9.
A photo booth will be available beginning at 11 a.m., and library officials will also release the butterflies that have been raised at the library at 1 p.m.

Fairview Park Old Fashioned Picnic
The historic Fairview Park, which was once home to the region’s only amusement park that catered to Black families, will hold its 23rd annual Old Fashioned Picnic on Aug. 16.
This year will also mark the park’s 80th anniversary. The picnic will be from 12-5 p.m. at the park, which is on Old William Highway/East Pittsburgh Street near its intersection with Turner Way in Salem.

Navigating senior care
The Mother of Sorrows Church’s “Boomers & Beyond” series will host Lynne Robb, a geriatric care manager and Air Force veteran, as the guest speaker at its Aug. 12 meeting.
Robb will present “Navigating Senior Care: Preparing and Understanding Senior Care Options and How to Pay for Care,” starting at noon at the church’s social hall, 4202 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville.
Robb owns and operates CarePatrol of Pittsburgh.
There is no cost to attend. Participants can bring a bag lunch and a friend. Beverages will be available.
Chevy car show
Jim Shorkey Chevrolet in Murrysville will host the fifth annual All Chevy Car Show on Aug. 23.

Blood drives
Murrysville recreation officials will partner with the American Red Cross to host blood drives on Sept. 11 and Nov. 11. Drives will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Murrysville Community Center, 3091 Carson Ave.
