Intergenerational faith discussion set for Feb. 8

The “Boomers and Beyond” speaker series at Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville continues at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 8 with “That’s Not How I Raised Them,” a discussion on intergenerational differences in the way faith is practiced.

The discussion will be led by Saint Vincent College Fine Arts Chair Tom Octave, and business consultant and coach Anne Papinchak.

Sessions are open to any interested adult and take place at the church’s social hall, 4202 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville. Participants may bring a bag lunch. Beverages are provided.

AAUW meeting on Feb. 10 will focus on water safety

The Murrysville branch of the American Association of University Women will welcome guest speaker Matt Junker from the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County at its next meeting, 10 a.m. Feb. 10.

Junker, the authority’s public relations spokesman, will discuss water safety as it relates to the Environmental Protection Agency’s lead and copper regulations. New regulations will go into effect in 2024 dealing with how the lead content in drinking water is handled by authorities like the MAWC.

The meeting is at the Murrysville Community Library’s TechNook, 4130 Sardis Road.

The Delmont Public Library will host the following programs at the library, 75 School St., across from the borough building:
