Traffic is snarled along Route 380 as seen from the intersection of Route 366 in Murrysville on Friday.

While it reopened about a half-hour later, the westbound lanes of Route 380 were shut down shortly after 8 a.m. Friday morning until about 8:35 a.m.

Poor road conditions due to snow accumulation, and several vehicles stuck on the road forced the closure, police said via a Nixle alert. Police are still advising that the road is congested and traffic is moving slowly.

The winter weather is causing delays, traffic and school closings throughout the region.
