More NFL Draft-related road closures will continue through midweek as crews dismantle event infrastructure across Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
On Friday, Visit Pittsburgh, the city’s tourism agency, announced six North Shore roads will remain closed from Saturday through Wednesday.
Pittsburgh set an all-time NFL Draft attendance record last week, drawing 805,000 people over the three-day event. Opening day alone brought in 320,000 fans, the highest single-day attendance in draft history.
Since then, organizers have implemented additional closures to give crews room to remove infrastructure from the draft footprint, which spanned the North Shore near Acrisure Stadium and Point State Park.
Phase 5 closures include:
• Reedsdale Street
• Chuck Noll Way
• Tony Dorsett Drive
• ArtRooney Avenue
• West General Robinson Street(to Tony Dorsett Drive)
• Scotland Avenue
Most major Downtown and North Shore roads affected in earlier phases have reopened.
“Motorists are encouraged to continue following posted detours for the remaining impacted areas,” Visit Pittsburgh spokeswoman Alex Kenzakoski said in a news release.
