Fulfill your fix for fine food at the North Hills’ yearly top shelf tasting event, the Glass Slipper Ball.

The 16th annual event on March 2 will showcase dozens of chefs from some of the area’s finest restaurants creating signature dishes and desserts as wine and beer purveyors pour premier samplings.

The event at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cranberry will feature live music from one of Pittsburgh’s hottest dance bands No Bad Ju Ju.

There also will be live and silent auctions and a chance to win exotic trips.

Guests also will be able to vote for the a winning chef in the “People’s Choice Awards” for best hors d’oeuvre, dessert and overall favorite.

Celebrity foodie judges will also be selecting the Best of the Best with $1,000 going to the winning chef’s favorite charity benefiting women.

TV news personality Kym Gable will be the emcee for this year’s event, which runs from 6 to 11 p.m.

Some of the organizations benefiting from the money raised by the event include: Treasure House Fashions, which supplies clothing for women in need; Living in Liberty, a provider of safe homes for the healing and restoration of trafficked victims; and Zephaniah Education, a free school and skill center for girls in Pakistan.

Early bird tickets — available through today, Feb. 4 — cost $95 per person. Regular priced tickets cost $110 a person. Sponsorships and full-table tickets also are available.

Tickets can be purchased online.
