How to cope with a loss of income while making a career change is the topic of a free program at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Saints John and Paul Church in Franklin Park.

Dave Weigand, a financial advisor with Edward Jones, will discuss strategies for budgeting, reducing expenses and alternate sources of income. Weigand also will share his story of how he found himself unemployed and deep in debt 10 years ago after leaving a family business.

No registration is needed to attend “Personal Financial Strategies for Your Career Change.” The program will be held in the multipurpose room below the church, which is located at 2586 Wexford Bayne Road.

The church’s Job Search Ministry also offers free services including resume review, monthly professional development programs, networking and a Job Search Work Team that meets twice monthly.

Participants need not be members of the church.
