In Brief: Trick or Trot 5K, roadside cleanup and more in the North Hills
Trick or Trot race
North Allegheny Foundation is hosting its annual Trick or Trot 5K Race/1-Mile Fun Run on Oct. 30 at Marshall Middle School’s campus. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. with the 5K starting at 8:30. The event will be capped off with a costume parade and awards. For more information or to register, visit northallegheny.org/Page/26032.
Roadside cleanup
The fall roadside litter cleanup event in McCandless is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 16. All are welcome.
We have a loyal group of veteran “Litter Getters” (this will be the seventh event), but we are always looking for new folks who want to make a big difference in cleaning up litter in McCandless. Get two or three of your friends, neighbors, or co-workers together and form a group that cleans up an area that you drive by every day. You’ll notice the difference it makes!
Safety vests, gloves and bags will be available for participants.
Want to volunteer and be a “litter getter?” Email eac@townofmccandless.org or call 412-364-0616 ext. 118.
