Marshall Township residents can sign up to dispose of unwanted electronics and household chemical and hazardous materials for free from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18.
Residents are permitted to dispose of paint, thinner, cleaning products, pesticides, vehicle and household batteries, light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, pool chemicals, vehicle fluids, aerosols and flammable substances.
Electronics that can be dropped off include TVs, computers and accessories, phones, air conditioning units, mini-refrigerators and other small appliances and devices.
Explosives, large appliances, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, tires and items containing mercury are prohibited.
Items can be dropped off at the township’s public works building at 465 Knob Road.
