McCandless council voted unanimously May 20, 2019 to hire Trishia Greathouse to serve as the town’s finance director and assistant manager.

McCandless council voted unanimously on Monday to hire Trisha Greathouse to serve as the town’s director of finance and assistant manager.

Greathouse is a native of northwestern Pennsylvania who has been working for the past 12 years as the director of finance and administration for the Town of Bluffton, SC.

She was selected from a field of 43 applicants for the job, which became vacant with the departure of Regis Ebner, who was hired in November as the borough manager for Franklin Park. Ebner was McCandless’ assistant manager and finance director for more than 19 years.

“Trisha stood out from all others because of her experience and overall credentials,” said McCandless manager Bob Grimm in a news release following the May 20 council meeting. “She has a background as an auditor and worked in finance and accounting in the private sector as well as being a Realtor.”

During an interview for the job, Greathouse said she wasn’t simply looking for just any position. She wanted something that would challenge her and allow her to grow professionally and personally, Grimm said.

“I believe that she and I will work well together and that she is extremely capable of managing the finance and tax collection operation of the town,” Grimm said. “We look forward to Trisha being a valuable member of our staff. I feel as people get to know her, they will see what an outgoing and warm person she is.”

Greathouse is scheduled to begin work on June 17. She will earn a yearly salary of $92,000.’
