Starting on Friday, students and parents in the North Hills School District will be able to view report cards using a new online system, district officials announced.

The report cards, which can be accessed through the district’s PowerSchool information system, are for the first semester grading period, which ended on Jan. 11.

Converting to secure, password-protected online report cards system will allow parents and students to get more timely delivery of grades and saves the district several thousand dollars in printing and mailing costs, according to district officials.

To obtain grades, log into a student’s PowerSchool account on a personal computer and select “Report Card” tab from the left-hand column.

The feature is not available using the PowerSchool mobile app.

People without an account can email the district’s technology department at: psquestions@nhsd.net for help getting set up.

A paper copy of report cards can be requested by people who don’t have internet access by contacting a student’s building principal.
