Bradford Woods Conservancy’s virtual program covering region’s geology

The Bradford Woods Conservancy will host a virtual presentation about the region’s geological history at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The July 22 online event features Katie Tamulonis, an assistant professor of geology at Allegheny College in Meadville, who will present “Geology of Western Pennsylvania Through Time.”

Tamulonis is a graduate of Dickinson College, where she received a bachelor of science degree in geology. She earned her doctorate in earth and atmospheric sciences from Cornell University.

Before joining Allegheny College, Tamulonis worked as a geologist in the private sector. Her research interests include studying sediments and sedimentary rocks.
