Ross Township police have issued a warning to residents after receiving complaints about a pair of men who are soliciting in the municipality without a permit.

Police said the two men have been seen between noon and 9 p.m. wearing black pants and black vests, and in some cases, yellow reflective vests.

The pair have also been spotted in a burgundy Nissan Sentra with Maryland licence plate 4CH889.

People soliciting door-to-door in the township are required to obtain a permit and display it while operating. Permits also must be presented when a resident ask to see them.

Residents are asked to call 911 if someone soliciting in a neighborhood refuses to show their permit.

The only organization currently holding a solicitation permit is Xfinity/Comcast.
