Scottdale man arrested in McCandless bank robbery

A Scottdale man has been arrested for allegedly robbing the Huntington Bank on Tuesday, McCandless police said Friday.

The suspect, Raymond H. Zwibel, 51, was charged with robbery and receiving stolen property for allegedly robbing the Huntington Bank in 800 block of McKnight Road, at McIntyre Square, according to documents filed with the state court system. The robbery occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported.

Zwibel was placed in the Allegheny County Jail, pending an arraignment scheduled for Friday, according to court documents.

McCandless police said they were assisted by the FBI, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Ross Township police.

No further information was released.
