The popular weekly farmer’s market and I Made it Market at The Block Northway in Ross will kick off its second season on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the upper level of the shopping center’s south atrium.

The farmer market, which will be open on Friday’s through October, will feature locally produced fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, fine spirits, flowers, coffee and honey. The I Made It Market offers a wide variety of unique, hand-crafted gifts.

New to this year’s farmer’s market will be food tastings and programs by Farm to Table Pittsburgh. The schedule for the organization’s events will be posted on the shopping center’s Facebook page.

“It’s very exciting to once again feature this unique indoor farmer’s market at The Block Northway,” said Frank Licata, the shopping center’s president. “Our farmer’s market has become a destination that folks look forward to each week.”

Some of the vendors that will be at the market include Freedom Farms, The Olive Tap, Wigle Whiskey, The Pickled Chef, Aunt Carol’s Homemade Dips, Gahr’s Hamloaf and Zeke’s Coffee.

Live entertainment, activities for kids and other events will be scheduled throughout the season to coincide with the weekly farmer’s market.
