Wexford salon offering free haircuts for medical workers, first responders
The owners of a Wexford styling salon are so elated with the prospects of emerging from the state-mandated shutdown that they are using it as an opportunity to thank emergency responders and medical professionals.
Neha Patel, one of the owners of Tonic Salon, said the business opened in November but was shut down in March because of the pandemic “just as we were taking flight.”
“Now that we are finally able to open, we would like to do something as a ‘thank you’ to all the frontline heroes who bravely faced the covid-19 pandemic head-on over the last three months,” Patel said.
The salon is offering free haircuts on July 3 for doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians and other first responders.
State rules for reopening hair salons require that patrons make appointments for services.
To schedule and appointment for a free haircut, call 724-719-2321. Customers must show their identification before receiving the free service.
The salon is located at 3000 Village Run Road, Suite 104.
