Easter Bunny delivers treats along Pennsylvania Avenue in North Huntingdon on April 11.

With the traditional Easter egg hunts for children canceled because of the restrictions put in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus, a North Huntingdon couple took it upon themsleves to stage an event to give youngsters treats from the Easter bunny.

The Easter bunny, portrayed by a costumed Rich Siniawski, handed out treats to youngsters from his home on Pennsylvania Avenue on April 11.

Siniawski and his wife, Sherry Siniawski, hosted a “Drive By Bunny” event that attracted more than 300 youngsters on the afternoon before Easter. And they did it while maintaining social distancing.
