Irwin police officers will continue to patrol North Irwin next year, under a new three-year contract that borough boroughs have approved.

Irwin Borough this week approved the contract covering 2024 to 2026, which gives North Irwin limited police coverage, plus responses to emergencies.

North Irwin will pay a monthly charge of $2,756 in 2024; $2,866 in 2025; and $2,981 in 2026, said Lisa Gesler, North Irwin Borough secretary.

North Irwin currently pays Irwin $2,600 a month for police protection, Gesler said.
