Golf for Grace fundraiser slated
The Golf for Grace event to support the Reflections of Grace Foundation, which raises money to help fight childhood cancer, will be held Sept. 4 at The Madison Club, 519 Yukon Road, Madison.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. and shotgun start is at 2 p.m. Golfers can enter individually or by foursomes.
The outing will be played under an 18-hole scramble format with several competitions, including:
• Team competition with prizes given to the top three foursomes.
• Individual challenges such as longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt.
The $125 per golfer registration fee covers green fees, cart and dinner.
The deadline for registering is Aug. 28. Checks should be made payable to the Reflections Of Grace Foundation, P.O. Box 298, Irwin, PA, 15642.

Military food distribution set
Norwin Elks is set to host a Military Share Food Distribution program Aug. 26.
The event, scheduled for 9:30 am to 12:30 p.m., is being held in conjunction with the White Oak Vet Center and the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
Veterans as well as active-duty military, including the National Guard and reserve personnel, are welcome at the event, which will be held at the Norwin Elks Lodge, 135 Elks Lane, Manor.
Registration must be completed by Aug. 9 by calling the White Oak Vet Center at 412-678-7704.
Lutheran Church hosts flea market
The Paintertown Lutheran Church will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Learning Center, 2036 Paintertown Road, Penn Township.

West Newton Library to hold fundraiser
The West Newton Library will hold a fundraiser at Le Grande restaurant, 105 S. Second St., West Newton, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 19.
Tea tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at the library on North Water Street and at Gary’s Chuckwagon Restaurant, 105 S. Second St. A maximum of 85 tickets will be sold.
In addition to the food, there will be a gift basket auction and games of chance.
