Norwin School Board moves meeting site

The Norwin School Board will hold an in-person meeting for the first time in a year.

The board is set to hold its April 12 workshop meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Hahntown Elementary School cafeteria/gym, where the voting meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 19.

The board has been conducting its meetings via Zoom since the state-ordered covid restrictions limited indoor gatherings.

North Huntingdon emergency management to hold exercise

North Huntingdon’s emergency management team will hold a “tabletop training exercise” at the Town House at 6 p.m. April 19.

Robert Dippolito, township emergency management coordinator, said he wants to conduct a community program to emphasize the importance of emergency management and intends to do a “live” training exercise in the future.
